The schooner Mary E. Foster wirh
a big general cargo, including the

bor, arrived yesterday. Capt. Thomp
son is accompanied by his wifn nn,i
family.
The cjhip J. B. Thomas will be towed
to Kahului by the Claudine, sailing at
5 o'clock this afternoon. The Thomas
has on board a ballast cargo of sugar
and wili complete her load at Kahului
for New York.
The ship A. J. Fuller arrived in Hilo
last Sunday week, S days from Hono
lulu. Capt. Nichols reports two deser
tions already at the Rainy City. Out
of the Japanese sailors shipped here
only two can steer and furl the main
royals. He also finds it very dull in
Hilo. No band concerts. Nothing
going on. He hopes to get quick des
patch for Philadelphia.
