Ath etl:, Eatertalnmeni I and Industrial Committees f Meet Tonight. to Tonight at the Y. M. C. A. the Boys' Clubs' committees are to meet to dis cuss plans for the opening of the fatt campaign. It is intended this year to carry on the work vigorously. Last year the interest among the members was greater than ever before and it is hoped to do even better in the present campaign. Posts of the Boys' Brigade are to be established among the Por tuguese, Chinese and Japanese. These will be in addition to the present or ganizations in Palama, Kaumaka pili and Kakaako. Thursday will be selected as the common meeting night for each club and every few weeks a joint session will be held. Special at tention will be paid to the military work, which last year proved to be - most interesting feature. Following is a list of the committees with the par ticular work of each: Religious To plan for direct Chris tian exercises in regular club meetings of each club; discuss joint gatherings for temperance, purity or evangelistic addresses; discuss the relation of club to local Sunday school or church, etc.: F. Military To arrange for the unity of military management:" in tactics, appointment of officers, requirements as to clothing or cleanliness, etc:; to discuss the question of general uni form; arrange for battalion drills, competitive drills, etc.: C. Athletic To unify athletic and gym nastic work; arrange for competitive drills; organize sports like baseball, basket ball, etc.; to schedule games and exhibitions among the club, etc.: A. T. Entertainment To plan for what ever of entertainment may be advis able in regular club meetings, in addi tion to the regular activities (as pro vided for above); to provide for en tertainments at stated intervals of all the clubs together: Armstrong Smith, C. A. Elston, J. J. Archer. Industrial To discuss "savings" plans, possibilities of employment for boys; the advisability of providing some industrial training at night in some line: P. Pond, W. J. After recommendations of the vari ous committees have been balanced, adjusted and approved by the central committee, each committee will aid in organizing the helpers to carry into execution the plans adopted. BERKELEY STUDENTS. Will Do Honor to Ex President Iletl'tgg on His Arrival. All former students of the University of California are requested to meet to morrow evening at 7:30 at the offices of Gear. Lansing & Co., in the Judd building. The object of the meeting will be to prepare a fitting reception for ex-Presi dent Kellogg, who has written Inspect or General Townsend stating that he will arrive here by the Doric, on his trio around the world. There is a feeling among many who look upoti Berkeley as their alma mater that something should be done in his hon or, and it has been suggested that he be met at the steamer by a committee of students and driven about the city to the points of interest. Afterwards a dinner will be given to him at the Hawaiian Hotel. There are about thir ty Berkeley men in the city and this will be the second time of their com ing together, the first having been the celebration of Stanford's defeat last Thanksgiving.
