The United States army transport Zealandia was coaling all day yester day at Oceanic wharf and will finish this morning, when her place will be taken by the City of Para. IJoth tiansports will probably get away for Manila this afternoon or early tomor row. The bark C. D. Bryant, which ar rived at Nanaimo October 1 from San Francisco, will take a cargo of coal to Lahaina, where moorings have already been made ready. It is thought the direct shipping of coal from the mines to Lahaina will result in a great sav ing for the plantation. The Colonial steamer Moana. went alongside the transport Zealandia at Oceanic wharf yesterday morning from Sydney, Auckland and Apia, re porting the usual good voyage to this port. About noon she shifted to Fort street wharf, where she discharged cargo, sailing for San Francisco at 5 o'clock in the evening. The Toyo Kisen liner Hongkong Ma ru is at Pacific Mail wharf, 'lhe United States army transport Rio de Janeiro was coaling at that wharf at the time of the sighting of the steamer and at first it was thought that the Hongkong Maru would have to stay outside until the transports were through with the wharf. As the de tention would have been a serious mat ter, the big steamer was accommoda ted through the courtesy of Colonel Ruhlen, with her usual berth, and the Rio taken out in the stream.
