Dole was appointed flovcrnnr, and is the chief executive of this Territory; second, the unrestrained right of the suffrage, thus giving this right to the rich and poor, alike. Therefore, the form of govern ment has changed from the bayonet government to that of a government for the people, and to be ruled and regulated by the people. Although our form of government has been changed. Governor Dole's ad ministration has not, and it is being continued by him as it was under the bayonet government, such as is now carried on in Russia, by the Czar. From the time the last Legislature was in session to the present day the doings of the administration of this young Territory were well known to the late deceased President McKinley and to President Roosevelt. First, while the Legislature was in session, the Governor directed Secre tary Cooper to occupy a seat, to which he had no right, on the floor and in the assembly of the House of Repre sentatives. Second Senators Kanuha and Ka- lauokalani made an official visit to the Governor at his home, to talk over place, signers of a petition supporting and approving the name of Circuit Judge Little as Dole's successor for Governor; and that the said petition was sent to other Senators and Rep resentatives of the Home Rule party in that district to sign, but they strongly refused to support any such petition. ; and considered that it was an under handed and backbiting piece of busi ness, and also unbecoming the dignity of the party and policy of the Home Rulers. The main objects and purposes men tioned in the said petition are in di rect conflict with the policy and plat form adopted by the party of the La hui, which Brown and Nailima well know. j The petition was sent to President Roosevelt, and also copies to both Houses of Congress. The souls of these two Hawaiians are strange, indeed, ' as also their actions in this matter, but they will be remembered by the Lahui in fu ture. They may outlive and escape the force of the laws if they appear before Little. "You scratch my back and I will do likewise to you." They are. not illiterate nor ignorant Hawaiians, but the contrary; they are men of standing, of education and full of learning and knowledge. If they had Ix'en men so ignorant, unable to know right from wrong, there might have been some cause for excuse and for giveness, but they will be left for the Lahui and the voters to weigh and to judge in the near future. It is too bad! 4 M. E. LENN0N IS DISBARRED Attorney Can Practice Here No Longer Supreme Court Ad , journs Tomorrow, M. E. Lennon, the attorney who served a term in Oahu prison for gross cheat, was disbarred from further prac- ice in the Territorial courts by the Supreme Court yesterday. Attorney General Dole went on the stand and testified to an appeal made to him by Mr. Lennon to save him from disgrace. and promising- that he Intended to re- urn to the States and become a good citizen of the community, and try to live down his record here. He asked whether or not it would be thought dis courteous by the court If he failed to appear, and upon being told that It would not, said he would make no de fense. George Sea testified to the ser- ice made upon the defendant, and Clerk George Lucas and Police Clerk Zablan testified as to the record In the criminal case. Chief Justice Frear then tated that, the motion for disbarment would be granted, and the name of Lennon was ordered stricken from the file of practitioners In the Territory. The case of Lilli vs. Carthy was ar gued In the Supreme Court during the day. Formal notice to advance the Kamalo case on the calendar to March 14th was given yesterday by plaintiffs. Defend ants have given notice of motion to trike the cause from the calendar, on the ground that the clerk had not' been served with the notice. The matter will be argued in the Supreme Court today. has filed a motion to strike out the bill of exceptions in .the case of Terri tory vs. Ah Moon, on the ground that no notice of the same had been given the Territory. Chief Justice Frear gave notice yes terday that the Supreme Court would adjourn Thursday for the term. Fainting: the Drlllehed. "As clean as the driven snow," will soon apply to the black, grim, somber looking Drillshed. Painters began working on the roof of the structure yesterday with white paint, warranted to make it cool in the sunshine, and in a week or so the entire building will be completely covered. The trans forming of the shed is due to an order issued some time since by the United States Army Department that the Drillshed must be painted to conform with the color of the old stone bar racks. During the last ten days, when the troops of the transport Warren were camped out in the armory, the men complained much of the heat. It is believed that the white chemical paint, said to be of a kind that will keep the roof from heating, will do much to remedy this defect. HAIR AS SOFT AS SILK. It is an accepted fact, a proven fact. that dandruff is a germ disease, and It is also a demonstrated fact that New- tro's Herpicide kills the dandruff germ. Without dandruff falling hair will stop, and thin hair will thicken. Her picide not only kills the dandruff germ, but It also makes hair as soft as silk. It Is the most delightful hair dressing made. It cleanses the scalp from dand ruff and keeps it clean and healthy. Itching and irritation are instantly re lieved and permanently cured. At all druggists. There's nothing "just as I good." They've served their day and gener ation, and to their credit let it be added, have done good service, but the new STRAIGHT FRONT robs them of all force. This new style follows the natural lines of the form in a word, hygienic It's merits are obvious. In contour nothing could be more graceful, while it supports the abdomen and strengthens the back. All the strain is thrown upon the hips and back muscles. Best of all, it retires tight-lacing, a barbarity on a par with Chinese foot toTture.
