Taylor’s way will last twice as long as otherwise, and it’s
always smooth and water-tight.
To insure a permanent, satisfactory floor, we recommend
the following method of laying linoleum; (We do this
work and do it right, with the installation equipment pic

Ist. Fit and cement to the floor a layer of Wool-Rag Dead

Needs More Space
The question of additional space at the
industrial show of the Optimists club
to be held in Tomlinson hall Feb. 17-21
will be discussed at the meeting of the
club at the Clay pool hotel tomorrow

According to Clifford G. Askin, general
chairman of the committee in charge of
the show, two spaces have been provided
in the sub-balconies near the entrance of
the hall for the purpose of boosting In
dianapolis and the Optimists club. He
said another civic enterprise had asked
permission t,o use space and it will be a
matter for the club to act on.

Cops Grab 15 Cents
and Pair of Dice
If there was a craps game going on
in the dry beer saloon of John Dampler,
41, at 2231 Shelby street, it wasn’t much
of a game, accordiug to the police evi
dence. The police captured 15 cents and
a pair of dice as evidence. Dampier is
charged with keeping a gambling house.
Others arrested in the raid were John
Graves, 29, who rooms over the dry beer
saloon; Claude Nealey, 28, 1432 Wade
street; George Mann, 24, 1217 East Ray
mond street; Fred Hartman, 45, State and
Raymond streets, and William Kennedy,
35, 1811 Lockwood street.
Negroes, Captured
in Raid, Freed
William Malone, negro proprietor of a
dry drink place at 401 West North street,
and eleven negroes today are satisfied
with their visit to city court. They
were freed of gaming charges. In a raid
on Malone’s place Tuesday night the po
lice said the negroes scattered in all
directions, eight escaping. The police
declared a poker game was going on.

The Advantages
of cementing and rolling linoleum over wool-rag deadening
felt when laid the “Taylor way.”
1. On all jobs the work of laying can be completed in a
single trip—no going back to stretch or trim the linoleum.
2. The linoleum is secured firmly over the whole area and
therefore can not bulge, expand or contract.
3. The wool deadening felt takes up ordinary expansion
and contraction (on account of heat and cold) in the wood
or concrete base and ends all buckling and cracking due
1o this cause.
4. The floor is made delightful to walk on, the felt acting
as a cushion.
5. The felt deadens sounds.
6. The floor is "warmer in winter.
7. The linoleum wears a third longer.
8. The linoleum can be remoyed without damage and with
little difficulty if occasion should arise.
