‘WHITE TSARITA’
RISES IN RUSSIA
Like ‘Joan of Arc 1 of Old, She
Leads Troops to Battle.
LONDON, April 29.—A Russian
“Joan of Arc” has arisen in western
81berla, gathered considerable strength
and proving exceedingly trouble
some to the soviet government, ac
cording to adTices reaching London
today.
The newcomer calls herself the
“Whit* Tsarlta” and claim* to be a
great-granddaughter of Alexander,
Who reigned from 1601 to 1626.
Like the famous French maid of
Orleans, the “White Tsarlta'" dresses
In white.
Her troops are also clad in white.
Her headquarters are at Hurgan. a
town of western Siberia, from which
she directs her own operations
against bolsbevlst outposts and rail
roads.
The Om6k government is reported
to have placed a price of 1,000,000
roubles on her bead.

Quick Way to Whiten
Discolored Teeth
While the cleansing of the teeth seems
'airly well assured by regular use of the
tooth brush, this can by no means be
depended upon to maintain the white
ness and lustre of the euamel This is
only too well appreciated by thousands
of particular men and women who, in
spite of the liberal use of various tooth
powders, pastes and liquids, seem unable
to remove the tinge of yellow or gray j
from the front of their teeth, or blacx or i
brownian fringes about the edges.
It will be welcome news to all such
that every stain and discoloration can be
completely and quickly removed by the
use of “Onee-a-Week Tooth Polish,” the |
discovery of a well-known dentist. If
used regularly, the disagreeable tints
will not reappear, and the teeth will nl i
ways have that spotless milky whiteness
and sparkling beauty so much admired
but so seldom seen, its effectiveness is
ali the more remarkable because it is so
perfectly harmless. Instead of scratch- ;
mg or eating into the enamel or injuring
the gums, it helps keep teeth, gums and
mouth in a healthy state. Used by the i
little ones it will do much to prevent !
children’s ailments. Druggists sell Once- i
a-Week Tooth Polish in convenient
packages, with simple directions.—Ad

YOUTH TOLD OF
GIRL’S MURDER
Officers Get New Confession
From Suspected Slayer of
Phone Operator.
PRISONER UNDER GUARD
PONTIAC. Mich., April 29.—Anson
lle t, 22, Flint (Mich.) youth, who on
Wednesday confessed he murdered Vera
Schneider, 19, telephone operator, “be
cause she wanted him to," today admit
ted he had slain her while attacking her
and that she had “died fighting.”
This new confession was obtained from
Best after ceaseless grilling by the au
thorities here, they declared, and while
the courthouse jail, where he Is con
fined, was heavily guarded to prevent
a possible nttempt at lynching.
Bloodstains discovered on handker
chiefs found knotted about the girl’s
neck led to Best making a full confes
sion of the crime, it was announced.
Confronted with this evidence, Best de
clared, according to a disclosure of his
statements by the authorities, that he
first struck the girl over the right tem
ple and then choked her until blood
came.
This he wiped away with the handker
chiefs, later knotting them in such fash
ion as to conceal the stains.
The remainder of the first confession
made by Best, In which he told of go
ing with the girl to the unfinished house
where the crime was committed, is not
seriously questioned by the police and
prosecutor’s office here.

YfcF: li ft V~- Ninety per cent of Americans have
defective, germ-harboring teeth and
