Sennett is represented this week at he Circle by ‘The Gingham Girl" in which Billy Armstrong appears as a lortune hnnter. It's good stuff and is a real laugh fetter. But Sennett Is sending his biggest comedy, “Down on the Farm” to the Circle next week. Armstrong is in that movie also. -1- -I- -I PRF.TTY MART. Pretty Mary Thurman, whose grace and agility was enhanced from long practice in dodging pies in Mack Sennett comedies, has at last come into her own. Miss Thurman, who was long known as “the Venus of the screen." decided while working in the Sennett fun factory that she could really act. Accordingly, she quit the Sennett bevy of bathing beauties to attempt some thing more serious. For a time she appeared with Bryant Washburn, still in comedy roles, but at has blossomed forth as a real Imunatic actress. She has the role of a fiery Italian girl in The Valley of Tomorrow." in which William Russell is starred and is to be found at the Alhambra today, Friday and Saturday.
