Ernie worked his ead off to build something out of the aseball talent at the Abattoir this year ind nothing more or less than last Sat urday's rain kept him from getting a hance at city league championships, 'he “Aba” and Indiana Bells were sched uled in the last game of the season. The Huhn followers had won ten games .nd lost three. The Bells had won ten nd lost two. A victory Saturday would have given he “Abs” the city league pennant with I percentage of .786, against .769 for the lello Boys. Just as the teams stepped ip for the first round of play, the rain □an cut loose and the game was called ff. The schedule closed Saturday and here is nothing in the rules and by-laws if the I. A. B.
