HEADS CHAMBER TRADE DIVISION Extension Work, Dropped During War, to Be Pushed. Frederick B. Rakemanu has been ap pointed secretary of the wholesale trade division of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, to succeed Thomas F. Snyder, who resigned two weeks ago to devote his entire time to the development of the highway transport movement in the state under the auspices of the Indiana Highway Transport association. Mr. Rakemann will report for duty about the first of next month, according to John B. Reynolds, general secretary of the chamber. As secretary of the wholesale trade di vision, Mr. Rakemann will be responsible for the trade extension work of the cham ber, which was dropped during the war. Buying weeks during which wholesale houses will bring the retailers in the Indianapolis territory into the city will probably be staTted. Plans have been started for an annual salesmen's dinner in which the traveling salesmen working out of Indianapolis | will be brought together. Mr. Rakemann is a lieutenant in the Fourth United States cavalry and is at present with his troop at Brownsville, Tex., but has resigned. Before entering the army.
