URGES PEACETIME PATRIOTISM HERE The necessity for patriotism in peace Charles F. Coffin, president of the* Chamber of Commerce, at the public meeting at Tomr.nson Hall last night celebrating the 106th anniversary of the writing of "The Star-Spangled Banner.” Mr. Coffin defined peacetime patriot ism as the willingness to pay taxes for the support of the Government without finding fault! He declared that while wartime pa triotism is necessary there is yet much need for peacetime patriotism to bring the country buck to a normal condition. Mrs. IL E. F. Stanford, president of the Marion County chapter of the American War Mothers, under whose auspices .the celebration was staged, presided at the meeting. Mrs. Elizabeth Carr offered a prayer at the opening of the meeting. Following Mr. Coffin’s address a Boy Scout drew aside a flag on the stage revealing a tableau. „ “Columbia," which TR UST CO M PANY STATE ME NTS. City Trust Company DICK MILLER, President. H J.
