John Stephenson, the Negro who
shot Deputy Sheriff Logan Young In
Jessamine and was given five years, appealed
and the court of appeals reversed
the case on technical grounds. Monday
he was again tried and pleading
guilty was again given five years, after
lying in jail IS months.

weeks. She was but 10 years old.
