KOZEE KÖRNER
By Madame Parmc'e.
"\\ hy does a girl close her eyes
when she is kissed?" This ques
tion may seem at first glance to
be trivial and wholly insubordi
jnate to the calm deliberation of
scholarly minds, butin reality it
lis commanding the attention of
psychologists in the world's lead
ing universities. Exhaustive ex
periments are being conducted
by eminent scientists in Berlin
and throughout France and many
and varied are the theories that
have been offered. We will not
report any conclusions at this
time but rather would encourage
original research in this field. It
is possible that some "philoso
pher of the hills'' will, by careful
pervigilation and reasoning, col
lect data that will go far toward
elucidating this seemingly contra
jdictory mental status.
To this end The Eagle offers a
year's supscription to the person,
married or single, who will send
in the best answer to the ques
tion: "W h y does a girl close her
'eyes when she is kissed?'" All
answers must be in the hands of
the editor of the Kozy Korner bv
Sept. 5th. Prof. Corky Howell,
of Hamburger, will he judge of
the contest.
In the above mentioned contest

A Paris dispatch announces
that the thing in raiment next
fall and winter is to be an "eel

I from the fact that it is to be the

Matt was seen sneaking a sew
ing machine out to his new house
Tuesday night. Us girls should-j
n t feel to bad at this because!
maybe Matt will run it himself.
