THUBBDAY, MARCH 15, 1906.
Dr. G. T. Seabnry, state veterin
arian of Wyoming, who invented
the Beabury stock spraying ma
a&iae, the Seabnry automatic hos
pital feeding tray, the Seabnry
•lock car sprayer and disinfector
and many other maohines, has snb
■aitteri to the patent office the new
Beabury stock disinfector brush.
Tie new device, the inventor
claims, is way ahead of the spray
ing machines, -especially for tile
treatment of diseased or ticky
■keep. The brushes are made of
■tee! wire, through the backs of
which the medicine is forced .by
gravity. A series of the brushes
■re locked against the animal, and
when the machinery is in motion
lie brushes scrub the hide vigor
ously, the medicine oozing out the
while. In this manner the medi
cine is forced throngh the matted
wool against the hide. The action
of the brushes invigorates the skin
of the animal and at the same time
■ards out the wool and cleanses it.
Those who have seen the device
■ay it will be sure death to the
■cabies and ticks in sheep, and it
will not be necessary to put the
■nirnals through the dipping vats,
which are operated at great ex
pense and result in the death of
many sheep.
Governor Hook of Kansas tells

time a merchant put up a black
board in his store and asked his

it and opposite it tell what they

yer wrote, "I plead for all.” A
doctor wrote “I prescribe for all.”
A preacher wrote “I pray for all.”
An old farmer walked up and
wrote his name, scratched his head
awhile and then wrote, ‘ I par for

Sheep men are pleased with the
prospects for wool prices for this
season. It is believed that the
spring clip will bring excellent re
turns. 8o far, too, the winter haa
been quite favorable for the fLcka,
as there have been few storms of
any account, and the lossea have
been light. As a rule, however,
•pring is a catchy period with the
sheep, and late storms are some
times disastrous, bat in this case
the animals are in good shape and
are prepared to stand quite a spell
of bad weather.
