Mrs. Len Rue is now confined at the
hospital in this city with a bad leg,
the result of a fall some time ago.
The injured member does not seem to
be progressing as rapidly as expected
and Has given Mrs. Rue considerable

j day. Mr. Williams had just returned
from Williams County, North Dakota,
where he is agent for the McConnel
Guaranteed Products. Mr. Williams
informs us that he enjoys a very nice
patronage from the people of that ter
ritory. He left Monday to resume his
work in the above named county.

Emil Stenmark, Plentywood's water
supervisor, as been doing some good
work in the w T ay of digging around
the city hydrants and fixing them in
such a w'ay that they will not freeze
in the winter, thus saving a consider
able expense to the city. Mr. Stenmark
found large air spaces around some of
the hydrants and others had the drain
ing outlets completely stopped up.

Pete Kisler was a Plentywood call
er last Tuesday from his home in the
Welliver precinct. Pete has just got
his receipts back from a carload of
cattle which he shipped a few weeks
ago to Chicago. Pete wasn't very
optomistic about the result and says
it doesn't matter whether you raise
wheat or stock, they g6t jou both

W. W. Comer, well known citizen of
the Comertown country, was a busi
ness caller in Plentywood last Tues
day. Mr. Comer is going to have a
bg auction sale at his farm in Corner
town on Saturday, October 27th. He
will have a page ad in the next issue
of the Producers News and will also
have out a number of bills. Watch for
them. Mr. Comer expects to leave
soon for Elma, Wash., where he will
reside. He has a son Walter living
in that city.

Charley Madsen, well known farm
er of the Archer precinct, was a bus
iness caller in Plentywood last Satur
day. He also called on the doctor.
It seems that some time ago Charley
received a hard blow' on the back just
underneath the neck, but did not think
much of it at that time,
spot since has given him pain, however
and he had an X-ray taken of the in
jury which showed that the vertebrae
had been cracked. Mr. Madsen will
now.have to carry the injured part of
the back in a cast, forcing him to take
to his bed for a time. Charley's
many friends hope for â speedy
healing of the injured member.

Judge Comer and Stenographer
Layhe returned from Poplar last Wed
nesday after holding court in that
city. They came back via auto and
had a very hard time making the trip
on account of the heavy roads. Be
tween Froid and Culbertson, a fine
Dodge touring car was lying on its
side in the ditch with a broken wheel
as they went by. On investigation
the car was found to be loaded with
people who had had a very narj^w
escape. After a great deal of ^kidding
and hard driving Judge Comer and
Mr. Layhe finally arrived in Plentv
wood.

Aid Will Sente Supper
The Lutheran Ladies Aid of Outlook
will serve a chicken supper in the
Lutheran Church, Saturday, October
20th. The Lutheran Ladies are not
ed for the excellent and bounteous

the occasion of these suppers and no
