The Pioneer Service station, who lately secured the Studebaker agency, report a very good business in pew Studebaker cars. Some of the local boys put a con tract roll on a truck last Sunday night but apart from inhaling some pow dered glass and affixing a dozen or more safety pins there was not a great deal of excitement realized. Seeding operations are reported to be well under way in all localities and farmers report the soil to be in ex cellent condition. Mr. Rice, local teamster, is kept busy these days plowing out local gar dens. The Clean-up spirit seems to have taken a serious hold on all residents of town and one may see bonfires going and garden rakes doing their stuff at every turn. RAYMOND Mrs. Henry Olson is back to work ( after a sick spell. Mr. Hannah and family, Mrs. Olson and daughter Dorothy and Isabelle Porter were Plentywood shoppers Monday. Mrs. E. W. Black's mother is here I on a visit. She is spending a short at i Plentywood present. Meta and William Black of Plenty wood spent the week end here. Meta also attended the dance Friday night. John Fink was in town the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Fink and Elean ore Holland were in town Wednesday evening. The P. F. A. Council held a meet ing at the Collins' school Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pierce were out to Harve Nicholas Friday evening. Axel Markuson's and L. N. Bran burg's attended the Jimmy Larson funeral at Homestead. Many of the young folks of Ray mond attended a dance at Dooley Sun day night. They report having had a fine time. Ed, Hannah ard children were guests at the E. W. Black home Sun day night. Frank Baker had a prairie fire Sunday which destroyed some of his pasture, the fire being started by some hot ashes. Leo Young, Albert Hanson and Art Dubry were in town from the Harvey Nichols farm Saturday night. Mrs. Wm. Corkery, who has been - working for Mrs. John Fink, leA for her home in Outlook Tuesday. Isabelle Porter spent the week end at the John Fink home. Many of the farmers are burning their stubble fields. Mrs. Henry Ross was in town do ing some shopping.
