be and appear before me, Williams
Cummings, a Justice of the Peace
in and for the County of Dawson,
at my office in Wibaux, on the
18th day of November 1918, at
two o'clock p. m., of said day,
then and there to make answer to
the complaint of the above named
plaintiff, in a certain action to re
cover the sum of One Hundred
Fifty Seven Dollars and the costs
of this action, including attorney's
fees; being an action brought on
a certain promissory note execut
ed by you and delivered to the
plaintiff on March 5, 1918, to
gether with interest thereon, and
for cash and labor furnished to
you, at your special instance and
request by this plaintiff, and for
the collection of which, together
with attorney's fees and interest
this action is brought. All of
which appears more particularly
in the complaint on file herein.
And if you fail to appear and an
swer as above required, judge
ment will be taken against you
according to the complaint.

a score of 3 to 1. Mathewson pitched

CANAL BUILDER IS DYING
Colonel Gailliard Still Unconscious at
Baltimore Hospital.
Baltimore, Oct. 12—Colonel David
Dubois Gailliard, U. S. A., one of the
builders of the Panama canal, re
mains unconscious at the St. John's
hospital. He has a brain malady,
which is expected to prove fatal
within a short time. Mrs. Gailliard is
with him, but he does not recognize
her.
