fllHE UNDERSIGNED I PURSUANCE OF
THE direction of the loan commissioners of
the territory of Utah hereby advertises that I
bids will be received at his office in the city of
bait Lake said territory between 12 oclock I
noon of June 31 1890 and 1 oclock noon I
of July ai 1890 for the purchase of the
bonds hereinafter described namely Three i
hundred bonds each of the denomination off I
i000 of the engraved negotiable coupon
bonds > of said territory bearing five per centum
interest per annum payable semiannually on
on the llrst days of January and July of each I
year nt the Descrot National bank in said city
or at such bank in the city of New York in the
tate of New York as may bo designated by
said loan commissioners at the option of the 1
purchasers of said bonds
The principal of said bonds shall bepajatle
in the lawful money of the United States i
within twenty years alter the date of their issue
but redeemable at the pleasure of the territory I i
after en years from date It i provided in the
law that at the expiration of ten years after
he issuing of Said bonds thero shall be set apart I
und appropriated out of tho general funds In
he hands of the territorial treasurer of said I
territory annually the JUDO of rJOOJO to be I
placed by the said treasurer in a fund to be
known as the redemption lund1 for the ro
demotion of said bonds t And it is also further i j
provided that whenever alter the expiration of
ten years from tho date of the issuance of said
bonds there is available in said redemption
fund the sum of O or more it shall be the
duty of said treasurer to advertise tho amount
of money in tint said redemption fund and the
number of bonds numberng tlem in the order
heir issue commencing at the hichest number I
then outstanding which such fund is set apart
to pay and discharge and the date when they
wilt be paid and i such bonds so numbered in
such advertisement shall not be presented for
payment and cancellation at the expiration of

he date mentioned in such advertisement i then
such fund shall remain in tile treasury of the
territory to discharge such bond whenever Ph I
sented for payment but such bond shall draw
no interest after toe expiration of the date men
tone in such publication
In no case will said bonds be sold for less
than their face or par value and the accrued in II
crest at the time of their disposal The
bids will be opened and the sales made to the
highest bidders at 12 pcloi noon July

Utah but before making any award

ful bidder for compliance with the terms of his
bid and said loan commissioners reserve the
right to reject any and all bids
The bonds offered are to be issued for the
building of educational and charitable institu
tions for which appropriations havo been made
by the governor and legislative assembly of said
territory and by authoritjrand in pursuance of
an act of the governor and legislative assembly
entitled An act providing for the issuing und
disposing of terrtorial bonds approved
