Do You Use Them If Not AVhyt
DYSPEPSIA is the skeleton at the feast
the death head ai the festive board It I
turns cheer into cneerieswvess gaiety into
gloom and festivity into farce it is the
ghost in the home haunting every room I
firepiace making

I
otherwise merry people shudder and fear
If there is one disease more than another
that should be promptly attacked and
worsted it is DYSPEPSIA It is the very
genius of unhappiness unrest and ill na
ture In time it will turn the beat man
almost into a demon of temper and make
a good woman something to be dreaded I
and avoided
It is estimated that half of ones trou
bles in this world come of a stomach
gone wrongof Dyspepsia in short Foods
taken into the stomach and not properly I
cared for converted into substances that
the system has no use for and hasnt any
notion what to do with It is irritated
and vexed pained and annoyed and in a
little while this state of things becomes
general and directly there is something
bad to pay The whole system is in a
state of rebellion and yearns to do some
thing rash and disagreeable and a fine
case of Dyspepsia is established and opens
up for business
It you were bitten by a mad dog you
would not lose a day in going to a cure
do you know you should be just as prompt
with Dyspepsia Rabies is a quick death
dyspepsia is a slow one this is about all
the difference There is a cure for rabies
and so there is for Dyspepsia and one cure
was about as difficult to discover as the
other Pasteur found out one and the

iNEWHOUSNOW IN PARISi
I Cablegram Announces Arrival of Salt
Lake Man Winning Race
With Death I
In a race against death Samuel New
house made the trip from Salt Lake to
Paris in nine days and twentyone hours
The record trip was made by Mr New
house to reach the bedside of Mott New
house his brother who was lying seri
ously ill at his home in Paris Informa
tion was received by Mr Newhouse
to his leaving Salt Lake that if he
prior would
wanted to see his brother alive he
have to leave immediately for the French
capital
Mr Newhouse left Salt Lake at noon
December 4 and arrived In Paris at 4
oclock yesterday afternoon which was 9
Oclock in the morning Salt Lake time
A cablegram sent to his offices in this
city told of his arrival and also contained
the information that his brother was still
alive though quite 111
Having been delayed In his trip from
Salt Lake to Chicago Mr Newhouse
at Chicago and
chartered a special train
I in the run to New York a number of
minutes were clipped off the time of the
Twentieth Century Limited the train he
intended to take but which had left two
I hours before his arrival in Chicago From
New York he crossed the ocean on the
Cunard liner Lusitanla
DINERS FOR NEW ROAD I
Handsome Cars Being Built for Salt
LakeSan Francisco Service
A number of the finest diners on any
road are now being built for the Western
Pacific at the shops of the Barney
Smith Car ompany at Dayton 0 which
are said by a certain railroad man not
connected with the Western Pacific but
who has seen the plan for the cars to
be the best equipped of any in use on
western roads At promt there are only
thirteen stations on the Western Pacific
which are manned by agents
A story from an authentic eastern
source has been received that the silver
ware and linen for use on these cars will
be made in Europe and will surpass any
thing ever seen in this country on a din

will consist of reading of Latin prose and

Members of the university debating
team which will meet the University of
Washington January 14 arc rounding
their material into shape for the final
struggle with the Washington school
Tuesday afternoon the members of the
negative side of the question delivered
their material before the members of the
coaching staff
Notice has been posted by Prof George
Corey chairman of the credit commit
tee that all members of the junior class
who intend to take out their degree with
the present senior class shall make ar
rangements for the inspection of their
credits
The sophomore boys who last October
took it upon themselves to place their
numerals on the university smoke stack
were held accountable for their actions
by the university faculty Monday The
members of the discipline committee were
only able to find two of the boys who
were implicated in the painting or the
numeral They were called before the
faculty and told what they knew about
the matter The faculty then voted mat
the men be held for the 60 the rost of
taking off the numerals and repairing the I
chimney Tuesda morning when the I
two boys reported for das they were
informed that unless they signed a note
for the 20 they would not be permitted
to remain in school The two boys went
to President J T Kingshurj office
where the each signed a note for 10
Since other members of the class were im 1
plicated in the painting of the numerals
and since the clans as a whole supported
the move it is likely that they will bear I
the burden of the expense for attempting
to keep alive their class activities
