George Nesbitt, a prominent Merch ant and mine oj'erator of DeLamnr, ar rived this morning to look over the camp. The Pearl restaurant is now being conducted by T. Cavanaugh & Co. and is one of the most popular eating houses in town. IV. E. Linton has sold the Pearl res taurant to Thomas and William Cava naugh, who took charge of the business Wednesday. B. They were stopped before any serious damage was done. George S. Bartlett, the well-known Tonopah Lawyer and one of the lucky owners of the Vermilyea & Bartlett lease on the Jumbo, was in town Sunday. W. W. Jones, a well known-miner and superintendent of the Pyrami 1 mines, near Reno, is here and thiuks so much of Goldfield’s outlook that he will probably locate. J. C. Williams, vice president of the Western Federation of Miners, arrived in town Saturday, delivering a lecture here that night and retnmel to Tonopah Sunday. Johnny Hanamel of the Frisco Cafe in Tonopah, was an arrival Sunday. He has been very successful there and in tends to establish a similar business in Goldfield. George D. Pyne, District Attorney of Storey comnty, spent several days in town thia week. He considers Goldfiel' a wonder and will probably locate here to practice law.
