The building, it is stated, will be occu
pied by a new bank aud tie brokerage

Geo. L. Jordan, of the firm of Deslip
A Jordan, is completing a two-story
’dobe dwelling in Booth’s Addition,
which will have four nice rooms aud a
cellar aud will cost jS-’.oOO. This is the
fourtli building which Mr. Jordan has
erected in Goldfield, which fully proves
his faith in the future of the camp and
town.

Dr. G. W. Tibbetts, a mining engineer
wlm for muny years was with the Omaha
and Grant Smelting company and with
the Guggenheim*, arrived in 'Goldfield
last’Saturday and will make’ a careful
study of the district. Dr. Tibbetts was
in’Tonopnh over’ three "year- ago ' and
was of the lirst well ktowti geologists to
proelaim’his'faith in’-'the values with
depth and jermanenev of the ledges in
this section of Nevada.

of New York City and Boise, Idaho, has
this week established a branch office on
Main strict, Goldfield. It is now in
charge of Mr. Mackenzie, who is a mine
operator of prominence and splendid

S. A. Jenkins, recently’stewurd of the

Death of Olney McGonagill.
Naomi Olney McGonagill, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. \V. L. McGonagill, died
last Thursday night of typhoid fever,
aged 1(> years and 4 months. The de
ceased was born in Oregon and came to
Tonopah in the early days with her par
ents. She was of a bright and cheerful
disposition and had many friends who
sincerely mourn her death. The fun
eral took place at 4 o’clock last. Friday
afternoon from the family residence on
Mineral street, Rev. Mr. Klass officiat
ing. __

For Building Hospital at Goldfield.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of
County Commissioners of Esmeralda county,
Nevada, will receive sealed proposals up to 10
[>’eloek a in. of November 18, 1904, for the
building of a hospital in the town of Goldfield,
Esmeralda county, Nevada. The dimensions
of said building to be as follows:
Main building. 69x30, consisting of six
rooms, 10x12, and bath room. 8x10; linen room
1x10; one room, 20x30; hall. 6x40; unnex
kitchen. 12x14.
Building to be supported by five rows of
1x4. Floor joists 2x6, 2 it. t enters.
Ceiling joists and rafters 2x4, 2 ft. center.
All outside walls 10 ft oi 7-8boards and rustic
siding, with building paper between parti
lions of 7-8 boards, teed by two rows of tins.
Cottage roof with regular 5 member iould
Ing cornice: building paper under shingles.
Flooiing to he 1x4 Oregon 1>. & M. Windows,
1 light 15x30. All doors 2.8x6.8, with 14-inch
transoms. Storm door entrance to be made of

to give a bond for the faithful performance of
the work.
Before being accepted by the county, the
work must receive the approval of a compe
tent inspector.
The Board reserves the right to reject any
and all bids.
