I I We realize that there is very little essential shopping to be done - at this time of the year - in II
i I ' the one day between the Fourth of July and Sunday the 6th. We believe that the shopping 1 I
I public will gladly arrange their trading so as to make this holiday possible. 1 j I
'S I By closing all day Saturday we will be able to give to the hundreds of employees affected, a I I
I full three days' vacation, as they will be able to leave the stores Thursday evening, July 3rd, ji j
i I and not return to their places until Monday morning, July 7th. jlj I

1 I particularly at this extreme warm period, and that you will all plan to do your shopping during 1 :
I the first four days of next week - the earlier the better. I I
