of a clever gang of counterfeiters had
boon arrested In Salt Lake city for
shoeing the queer Most of the
bogus coins tluiR far found are flfty

from the capital city one of tho men
has been positively Identified by a
storekeepor as having attempted to

That the gang has been operating In
Ogden before going to Salt Lake la
the opinion of the local police A largo

hive been passed hero during the
past two weeks at various stores
I some of which have been collected by
the police nnd are being held as el
I denro should arrests he made Some
I of the bogus coin Is said to have found
j Its way Into the coffers of the street
