home here Several weeks ago it be
came evident that ho was suffering
from a serious organic trouble and
two days ago an operation bocamo
necessary The operation was sue
rcseful but Mr Kelly suffered se
Vcrcly from the shock and was not
encouraged by learning that It would
also be necessary for him to In all
probability submit within a short
time to an operation for appendicitis
The physicians Bay there Is hope
of Mr Kellys recovery but admit his
condition is serious and his vitality

storage warehouse of Linde Sons
shortly before last midnight and was
not under control until some throe
hours later The waichouae on Jay
street is In the center of a district
filled with commission houses stor

he ftremon worked hard to confine
the flames to the building in which
they started The loss was about
100000 to which may bo added a
considerable loss to dealers In per

from the fact that tho commission
