Will Confer With the Local Gommercial Organizations „ .An active week In the study of local .harbor conditions is planned by the joint senate and assembly committee, which effected organization yesterday morning in the rooms of the Califor nia Promotion committee with Senator Leroy A. Wright chairman and As semblyman W. 'R. Leed 8 .secretary. Senators EL L Wolfe and T. J. Ken r-edy and ; Assemblyznan Louis Strohl were also present. On "Wednesday a tour%of r the water front will be made by the committee, guided by the state board of harbor commissioners, and on Thursday morn ing a meeting will be held in the Pro motion committee's ' rooms, Union square, at which .will . be -present the * representative* ,<K local organizations interested in harbor. Improvements. Secretary Leeds was instructed to I notify the following organizations that the committee was in session and to !nvite l them to send representatives to the Thursday session:' State board of harbor commissioners. Mission promo tion committee,^ California Promotion committee,, harbor, committee of the committee of forty, committee on har bor, 5 front, wharves, docks and 'shipping of : tbe committee on reconstruction -of San "Francisco; Potrero commercial and manufacturers' association, merchants' association, ship owners', association, ' Chamber, of commerce and .North cen tral Improvement association. These organizations have already taken an Interest in the work of the legislative committee and- have been awaiting in vitation to co-operate with it.
