That was one of the interesting:, features of the market. The \u25a0 trading: was pretty well divided among 1 a multitude of stocks without - any large . sales of one. "' On that basis the market was usually accounted dull simply 'because It con tained nothing to thrill the { speculators or the onlookers. The prices were far from thrilling. Goldfield Consolidated Mines sold from $S. 37*£ to $8.42*4. and on./. 3.000 shares passed in total. Jim Butler sagged to $1.05. Combination Frac tion dropped from $2.65 to $2.55. Bel mont slid down from $3.45 to $3.40. Florence weakened 5 points, from $5.50 to $5.45. Mohawk Consolidated Leasing showed signs of a relapse and sold down to 26 cents. These and other, changes were so small, comparatively, that they did not oold the interest of the speculator; and hardly concerned •, the brokers, especially since the rate" of commis sions has been fixed by, the San Fran-, cleco stock and exchange board, at -a half of 1 per cent. Red Hills strength ened a. little after the regular call, selling from 51 to 54 cents in the informal proceedings. Atlanta and Blue Bell each gained 1 point above the opening price. Daisy dropped from $2.10 to $2.17*4. Jumbo Extension was as stationary as a hitching post. If there was not suf ficient demand to raise prices sharply there was sufficient inertia back of the market to prevent any large slump. A special dispatch came over Zadlg & Co.'s leased' wire to the effect that the meeting at Goldfield Thursday re sulted in the appointment of ' a'com mittee to confer with the mine own ers concerning the employnuent of watchmen. Through the same source a , report reached the street that the largest body of ore yet' found in Gold field had been opened up on the 250 foot level of the Mohawk- property of the Goldfield Consolidated Mines. Four feet of ore waS'reported to go $1,200 a ton. - \u25a0 ELY MINES ARE MERGED Corporation Is Organized in,, Dela ware to .Take Mines In The Tonopah Miner says that the Consolidated copper company has been organized under the laws of Delaware with a capital stock of $50,000,000 to absorb the properties of the Nevada Consolidated.
