WHEREAS, the bonds authorized to be Issued
under that certain Act of the Legislature of the
State of California entitled "An Act to pro-
vide for' the Issuance and sale of State Bonds
to create a fund for the construction by | the
Board of Harbor 'Commissioners of a Seawall
and appurtenances in the City and County of
San Francisco; to create a sinking fund for'
the payment of said bonds and providing for
the submission of this Act' to a vote of the
people," • approved March 20, " 1903, and being
known as "The San Francisco Seawall Act;"
have been duly executed and ... „ . .
WHEREAS, - the Governor of the State of
California, under the Seal thereof, has directed
the undersigned, as Treasurer, to offer for j sale,
as provided in said Act, and to sell at public
auction to the highest bidder for cash 500 of
said bonds, to wit: Numbers 251 to 750, both
inclusive, and to sell the same in two parcels,
as follows, to wit: Numbers 251 to 600, both
inclusive, in one parcel; and numbers 501 to
750, both inclusive, in one parcel; and
WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of
California- directed said sale after -resolutions
bad been adopted by the said Board of Harbor
Commissioners requesting the sale of 600 of
eald bonda as therein provided.
NOW. THEREFORE, notice is hereby given
that the undersigned, W. R. Williams, as the
State Treasurer of the State of California, .will
on Thursday, the 2d day of July, 1008, at' the
hour of two o'clock p. m. of that day,- at the
office of the State Treasurer, in the State Capi-
tol Building at Sacramento, - California, sell: at
public - auction to the- highest bidder- for cash
and In two parcels, < Five Hundred (500) Bonds,
as follows, to-wit: In one parcel, Two Hun-
dred and fifty (250) Bonds, being numbers Two
Hundred and fifty-one to Five Hundred, both
inclusive; and in one parcel Two Hundred -and
fifty .(250) Bonds, being .numbers Five .Hun-
dred and one to Stfven Hundred and j fifty, . both
inclusive, executed . under and pursuant to that -
certain Act of the Legislature entitled: "An
Act to provide for the \u25a0 issuance "fend sale of
State Bonds to create a fund for. the construc-
tion by the Board of State Harbor Commis-

1924, subject, ; however, to redemption by lot
after the year A. D. 1014, and each of said
bonds being for the sum of One Thousand dol-
lars and bearing interest at the * rate of 4 per

The undersigned -is required by said Act to
reject any and all bids for said parcels of
bonds which shall be below \u25a0 the i par value of
said bonds so offered for sale, and likewise has
the right, by public announcement at the place
and time fixed for the said sale as aforesaid,
