SAN JUAN ARRIVES FROM THE ISTHMUS Everything Reported Quiet in Nicaragua, Where U. S. Forces Are Assembled HE Pacific Mail liner San Juan, Captain F. E. Kra zier, arrived yes terday from Pan ama and way ports with 17 passengers, 731 tons of cargo and treasure i val ued at $14,600. It is not believed that any of the officers or crew have been killed or injured, and this afternoon there is every as surance that the vessel will be saved, but at least a portion of its deck : load has been washed overboard. The arrival of the Homer is said to mark the opening of a struggle to destroy the monopoly of the so called banana trust. J. Homer Fritch and F. F. Ryan of San i'rancisco are here to look after tho disposition of the cargo. Wfter discharging the Homer will leavo for San Diego to undergo repairs necessitated by the damage sustained when the vessel went ashore off the coast of Mexico several weeks ago.
