48 FORESTER EXPLAINS NEEDS OF FOREST Henry S. Graves Declares It Is a Crop Bearing Every Century' Interesting Address to Members of Commonwealth Club at Luncheon f Forester Henry S. Graves made an interesting address at the weekly luncheon of the Commonwealth club at the Palace hotel yesterday on matters relating 1 to the national forestry serv ile <iisoussed a number of the problems which the service is facing \plalned various policies regard ing the conservation of .forests and water rights. Graves expressed himself decidedly in opposition to the lifcht burning of forest lands, declaring that this method is destructive to future crops.
