Prom the Van Ness avenue end of the grounds to the Presidio, men,' teams and engines are in full action. * The thing that most Impresses the visitor at this time, however, is the tremendous . reclamation work that - has been accomplished In such a compara tively short* time. What was a vast ' basin of shallow useless water,*or mud flats a year ago is- now filled In land.
