by a dispute as to the ownership of an

Heroic Conduct of a Child. On
Thursday afternoon, says the N. Y.
Evening Post, Lanbon Lennon, a boy
four years of age, whose parents live at

another boy only three years old, over
an old cistern in n yard adjoining that

In making the early delivery the carriers
anticipate much delay. This may be obviated
by householders adopting the door letter box.
It is honed that the citizens will Immediately

convenience of themselves and the neighbors,
and at the samo time render an Important aid
to the public service.
A request for tbe return of a letter to tho
writer, If unclaimed within thirty days or leas,
written or printed, with wrlterra name, post
office, and State across the left end of tbe
envelope, on tbe face side, will be compiled
with.
Letters bearing such endorsements will be
returned to the writer free of noitavs.
