from a postmaster that such guarantor are ren
ame persons.
The accepted bidder will be required, within
ten days after bis bid is accepted, to enter into
contract, with snretles to be approved by the
Postmaster General, to supply the articles tho
proposal for which Is acceptod, In which contract
It shall be provided that In case of fallaro to sap
ply the articles, or any of them, according to tha
contract, the contractor and his snretles shall be

TKACT NO. 3.-137 acres, situated near the
mouth ol West Hickory creek, on the Allegheny
river, five miles above Tionesta, nnd consists or
bottom and hill land. There are two houses and
good out-buildlngs on this tract.
These tracts are considered valuable oil lands,
and It Is thought that, upon belngproperly tested,
will be remunerative. They were taken by the
United Stales ror debt. The title is believed to
be undisputed, and can be examined by bidders
themselves before the day or sale. The Solicitor
or the Treasury has no power to give warranty
deeds, and will only sell and convey to the pur
chaser all the right and title or the United States.
The several tracts numbered 1, 2 and 3 will fit
sold separately.
The highest bidder for each tract, when the
same Is struck ofl to him as tha purchaser, will
be required to sign his name to a certificate set
ting toith that he Is such purchaser and agreeing
to comply with the conditions of sale, and will
alto be required to ray to the agent ol the Gov.
