The night before Arbuekle s barn was burned two men a short and a long ODe were seen at the barn which so alarmed Arbuekle that he had the building watched all night. The next dav about noon, fire broke out in the barn and destroyed it. The Forsha barn was burned about noon several days before the Ar buekle barn. No strange men were seen about it, but a short and long man were seen in the vicinity, and one uignt obtained permission to sleep in Mr. Harlan's barn. Mrs. iiruner who uves near Mexico claims to have seen two men 'the morning af ter the burning of Heterick's barn and they said something about more barns to be burnt, but whether the self confessed barn burner now in jail is one of the two men so fre quently reported to nave been seen last autumn does not yet appear.
