BATON BOOB«" SATÜRDAY ,.::::::::::::::::::DEC. 9, 1865. V ALUABLE R EAL E «TAT* *or S AL* ahd for R ent .— W ô invite attention to the ad vertisement of Messrs. W. W. M c M ain <fe 8 oh . Those gentlemen possess the knowl edge and facilities which entitle them to confidence and consultation in real estate matters. V aluable P lantations »ob L* as*.— We would call public attention to the ad vertisement of our friendi J ames H. M us*« Esq., by which it will be seen that gentle man proposes to lease at publio auction, two eligibly situated plantations sepa rately or together to suit the convenience of parties; and also his private residence near Clinton. He will also sell at the same time a quantity of valuable personal and plantation property. N ew L aw F ibk .—On reference to our advertising columns it will be seen that R. W. K nioebrboomb , Esq., District At torney, has formed an association with our old friend, A lbert P. C onverse , in order the more fully to expedite and transact his increasing business. To the many hereabouts who have known Mr. C onverse well and intimately during his life-time residence partly in this parish and partly in West Feliciana, we need say nothing by way of advancing his merits or recommending them to popular favor. Having recently made purchase of a plantation within a conve nient distance from Baton Rouge, he in tends devoting his attention to his two fold interests of agriculture and the law, and will be "on hand'" to practice at either, as circumstances may require. We wish our old friend and former cotemporary of the pross an abundant success in his two branches of enterprise. NEW ORLEANS MARKETS. FINANCIAL. T hoksdat M orhiko , December T.
