City of New York and elsewhere. Ist. Pure French
brandy it is now almost impossible to obtain—nearly
all the brandy imported from France being American
raw spirits sent there, made into bandy, and shipped
back again. 2d. Many people are abandoning the
use of American whiskey, brandy and gin, since it
{ has been discovered tnal STRYCHNINE, a deadly
poison, is in use at the west in distilling, thereby In
creasing the yield of Liquor about one-third.
