LfflEB- INDIANA HAS GOT 'EM; SPRING REPTILE CROP MaHSMaBBaaWSB tfernal Reptilian Display on Banks of Creeks! CAT THAT SEES AND KILLS. Greensburg, Ind., March 23 Reports from the forks of Flatrock creek indi cate that Indiana -has got 'em." The fact that yesterday was the official epring opening was taken advantage of by the snakes to display themselves, and they crawled out of their winter hiding places in the rocks along the banks of the streams. The display in cluded only the varieties known to this part of the state, no new styles being shown. It was a cat, owned by Mrs. Adol phus Frazier, of this city, that first dis covered the display of reptiles. This cat, instead of hunting rats and mice, has a liking for snakes, and its hunt ing ground is a creek near the Frazier home. Yesterday it found the hunt ing good. When it sees a snake it springs into the air, and alights with claws outspread on the back of- the reptile. Despite the frantic lashing of the snake, the cat retains its hold until its claws have sunk into a vital spot, and the battle is over. The cat then walks away seemingly well satis fied.
