Beallview park has been selected as
the location for the Robinson Carnival
company during I lie w U of thu
Druids' Jahr MarUt, which begins
one week from tomorrow. The site i.-
Velieved to bo favorable to the success
of the project. It will bo the fun cen
ter for one eniire wek. and sreat
crowds are expected to he attracted to
the southern extremity of the city.
The choice of Beallview was made aft
fcr much delay. 'I'he park is within
easy walking distance of the ceiiier
f I he city, and street car service is
provided to within a few squares of the
carnival grounds. There will he the
usual number of hacks and other con
veyances to accommodate the crowds.
Many new and attractive features
have been added to the list of carnival
t-hows. The moat, noteworthy addi
tion is that, of the Buckskin Ben Wild
MBt Show. To accommodate this at
traction a canvas arena 200 by .TX feet

ber of the menagerie is trimmed up
for the cominc week, this interesting
performance is a distinct novelty to
most people, comparatively lew hav
ing seen the inside of such an organ
ization as that carried by t ie Gentry
Bros. Kvery animal will be thorough
ly overhauled, anil the cleaning; pro
cess is a jAieat novelty to the specta
tors, who have little idea of the work

family as the Gentry Bros, have
on their hands. During the reception
the children will be at liberty to romp
and play with the cute littlo Shetland
potties, who enjoy the fun as much as

parade of his long career as a show

showman for he past tweutv years.
With the Gentry shows this year
aro a pair of water buffalo from the
river Ganges India, these animals are
regarded as sacred by the Brahmins,
and as far as is known are the only
two genuine specimens now being ex
hibited to the public by any tented
show, the Gentry Bros, it is rumored
are indebted to the Mahra.iah of Put -tiala
for the gift. His Royal Highness
having been their guest some five
years aRO when making; a tour of this
country incognito. They make one ad
ditional feature to a show full of merit.
