Some Gossip of the Various Local Lodges
The Masons, of the city are particu
larly well pleased with the work that
has been done this winter. All of the
orders are in a' flourishing condition
at present and the past season has
been one of the most successful ever
experienced. It is said. The Knight
Templars have not missed holding a
Monday, night meeting the past winter,
which Is very unusual. The active
season is now drawing to a close and
the dull period la approaching. The
meetings will be abolished altogether
in June, until next falL It la said
that more candidates have been receiv
ed into all of the lodges the past win
ter than In ajtiy other year In the his
tory of the Masons in this city and the
excellent showing is a record of which
every member of the lodge is Justly
proud.

and the union is expecting that the
affair will be in every way as success

assembly, at Indianapolis, May 16 and
17. The report has already been par

total membership, 14,033 bothers and

amount spent on relief was S4.630.78.
Guy Brown was Initiated Into the
first rank, at the meeting of Triumph
lodge last evening. Eight candidates
will be given the three degrees of this
lodge during May. .
It Is anticipated that from fifty to
seventy-five members of .Post C, T. P.
A will attend the state convention at
Ft Wayne, May S and 7. Several of
the members will.be accompanied by
their wives. An attractive inalgna
has been secured by the organisation.
