Regan, of the Knickerbocker note, for 850,000 damages was dismissed in the supreme court. Mrs. Thaw was ejected from the grillroom and she sued on the ground that her dignity had suttared. WON'T OPEII SUNDAY Hippodrome Will Be Closed by the Festival Manage ment at Midnight. LARGE CROWD LAST NIGHT In a session of the Fall Festival ex ecutive committee lasting into the small hours of the morning, the com mittee voted not to open the hippo drome on Sunday, but should fclose It at midnight today. . There were sug gestions sent to the executive commit tee that a Sunday session of the hip podrome would prove very popular, but not wishing to establish a bad precedent, it was decided it would not be advisable. The hippodrome Is proving , very popular, as huge crowds are attend ing each performance. The biggest crowd was on the grounds yesterday afternoon when it was estimated eight thousand people saw the per formance. .Last night a large num ber of persons were present, but many were kept away by the cold weather. After careful examination of' some of the milk of fered for sale in Washington, health officer Woodward announces that it contains 35,000,000 germs to the teae spoonful. As he gives 2,000,000 as the maximum number tolerated in a like quantity by any other large city in the country, he insists that the health department is justlfed in forbidding the sale ot such polluted milk.'
