DINNER PARTY. A prettily appointed dinner party was given Wednesday evening at the Country club by Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Gayle and Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Swayne out of courtesy' to Mr. and Mrs. Shu man Jones of Los Angeles, California. The table was arranged with flowers and ferns. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gennett, Mr. and Mrs. George Seidel, Mr. and Mrs. Ray K. Shiveley, Mr. and Mrs. James Carr, Mr. and Mrs. John Nicholson, Mrs. Jeannette G. Leeds and Mr. Omar Hollingsworth. MEETS FRIDAY. The Francis Willard W. C. T. U. will meet Friday afternoon with Mrs. J. E. Eves at her home, 51 South Six teenth street. Coate Is entertaining the members of the Ladies Aid society of the First Presbyterian church at a circle meeting this afternoon at her home in South Twelfth street Mrs. William Decnant of Middletown, Ohio, ' who is visiting Mrs. J. M. Wampler and Mrs. Thomas Graham of Madison, Indiana, with Mrs. Thomas J. Graham, were the out-of-town guests. H. P. Campbell and Mr. William Hab erbern, music by a ladies quartet and numbers by Misses Clara and Eliza beth Mote. The Wessel orchestra will also furnish music. The public is in vited to attend. VISITING HERE. Mrs. Broomhall of Hamilton, Ohio, is in town for a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dennis at their home in South Fourteenth street. DANCE FRIDAY. A dancing party will be given Fri day evening in the Elk's club by mem bers of the social committee. An or chestra will furnish the dance music. The members of the lodge, their wives and families with invited guests will be privileged to attend. The party will begin at eight thirty o'clock. VISITING HERE. Mrs. Thomas Graham and Miss Ma rion Graham of Madison, Indiana, are guests at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Thomas J. Graham in North Thir teenth street for a few days. TO ENTERTAIN GUESTS. The members of the Pedestrian dun will no doubt be charmingly entertain ed Saturday evening, when Mr. War ren Clements gives a theater party at the Gennett to see "The Spring Maid." the Henley road. Johnston gave an in teresting talk on "Household Decora tions. She spoke of the display of tap estries and household decorations so that they add . beauty to the home. Mrs. J. M. Judson was among the guests for the afternoon. After the program a social hour followed.
