' The Thursday Afternoon Social
Club met with Mrs. J. II. Shofer at
her home in South Seventh street.
Prizes Mere awarded to Mrs. James
Ilouts and Mrs. John Payne. A two
course luncheon was served by the
hostess, calendar fans being given as
favors. The club will meet next week
with Mrs. Charles Weber, of South
Fifth street. Mrs. John Payne, of
Dayton, and Miss Laura Berheide,
of Terre Haute, were guests of the
club.

Miss Gene Wineman gave a large
dancing party at the American Club
last evening for her guests, Misses
Florence and Mary Myers, of Louis
ville. The guests were a few young
married people and the young friends
or the Hostess. lhe dancing room
was elaborately decorated in red and
green, and the same color scheme
was carried out in the parlor, which
was used for the supper room. The
guests were seated at small tables.

ents and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Wine- place.
