That on Malo, Meridian, rrauklin, and Washington Streets, the width of the side walks is fourteen leet. and the width of the gutters is six feet. Tbe pave oo the aide .walks shall bar a descent from the line of the lots to the gutter, of at least one inch ,to every five feet; the deepest part of the gutter shall to two feet from the curb-stone and at lual ti-lit inches below the top of the curb-atone, and the outer edge ef tbe putter sl'all be U inches below the. top of th curb stone. On East, West, Aortli mi Siith Streets, the width of tbe sidewalks is ten feet, and the width of the gutter is five feet. When a petition la presented to ihe Hoard for the improvement of a street, part f street or si deeslk, as provided in the forty-siith section of the charter of the town, it ahsdl be the duty of the Tow n En gineer to lay off and estimate the work so petitioned lor, and lay the survey and esti mate thereof before the Hoard, when the Hoard will uiake special orJcrs in relation to such improvements fr.c. 5. It shall not be lawful for any per son to keep a regular auction room or estab lishment within this corporation without firt procuring a license therefor from the Clerk of the Corporation, which license the Clerk shall is-uc to any applicant therefor upon bis producing and delivering to him tbe receipt of the Treasurer for such sum ss the Clerk shall determine shall be paid for such license, not less than twenty nor more than sixty dollars per annum, and at that rate for any time less than a year, but no license s-ball issue lor a less time than three months. Srmoi 1. if ordained by the lizard of Trustees of the Totem of Winchester, That every prostitute found wandering about said town, or within two hundred yards of the corporate limits thereof, or; found in any public act of prostitution with in said limits, shall, on conviction thereof, beforo anv Jusliccof the Peace within said town of Winchester, be fined therefor in any sum not less than two dollars, nor more than ten dollars. Sc. 2. Every male perfon over the age of twelve years, who, having been found associating with anv prostitute in any pun lie place, street, alley or common of said town, or within two hundred yards of its limit.'i, shall, upon conviction thereof, be fore uny Jo-lice of the Peace of said towr, be lined In any sum not less than three dol lar ii r more than ten dollars. Every person who ahall allow, perm t or countenance an disorderly con duct, ".se or confusion in or about bis gro cery room or other establishment, existing in said town of Winchester, and wherein any distilled or fermented liquors are sold or kept for sale, or for being given away, or having permitted any person to become in toxicated therein, hall, upon conviction thereof before any Justice ot tbe Peace of said towu of Winchester, be fined therefor in any sum not less than three dollars nor more than ten dollars s! rc. 5. It la hereby made the duty of the Marshal of the said town of Winchester, and he is hereby empowered and required to arrest, either with or without process, any person who, at any time, shall be found ri oting, righting, or' in any manner disturbing the public peace, or who shall be found in toxicated in any public fxirtion of said loan of Winchester, and said Marshal shall com mit such offender to the jail of the County of Kandolph for safe keeping, until com plaint be made against him to any Justice of the Peace of said town. Proviprp, that no person hall be o imprisoned longer than unlit ten o'clock on the succeeding day, unless such succeeding day ahall be Sandte, in which case complaint against such offender shall be made on tbe next following Monday.
