Six women entered a dry goods store in Terra Haute one day last week, and while a part of them occu pied the attention of the proprietor and clerk9r the others busied themselves in concealing about their persons nearly thirty dollars' worth of goods. As they were about starting from town, the mer chant, having missed his goods, had an examination made of their bundles, and found the missing articles. A well-dressed lady obtained leave to carry a piece of silk to the house of a well-known and responsible citizen, from another store in the same city, and both silk and person are missing ever since.
