Yesterday was another comparatively
dull day on the levee. The Natoma dis--i

mada had a very handsonre' trip up, yes-
trrdav moraine, including 101 cabin pas-

Cairo at 2 o'clock to-day, and has superior

We would suggest to the City Council the,

wharf. Ro that it is almost impossible for

good plan, and not -only militates against
the trade of the city, br i often Involves

", two of which are now pending in the Cir-
cuit Court of this county. Let a location
1 for flatboats and barges be designated, and
1 make it a finable offence for them to lie

Saturday is usually the most busy day of
the week along the levee. Yesterday, how
ever, it was very dull in the way or both
shipments and trade, outside of the daily
generally the case at this season of the
year. . . .
The fire which caused the destruction of
'the Financier originated from the bursting
of a .camphene, not a coal, lamp. Captai n
' Dafragh'd wife ' and "dahghfer' were
drowned.
The Commercial of Monday says :
The weather was mild, cloudy, and
howery yesterday. At Pittsburgh, last
nischt, the river was receding, with six feet
inches during the 24 lwurs ending last
night, with 20 feet hence to Louisville. .
