Wa6 Married In Hospital and Lives But Ohe Month After Ceremony. Married when no hopes were enter tained for her recovery from a serious illness, her honeymoon spent on her deathbed in the hospital and dying aft er one brief month of wedded life, are the three pathetic chapters in the mar ital history of Mrs. Agnes Durbin, who passed away early yesterday morning at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines. Mrs. Durbin was a beautiful young woman, only a girl In yeare, being but 18 years old at the time of her death. She is a sister of Arthur Devlin, 249 Valley street, from whose residence the funeral cortege will start tomor row when the last sad rites are held. Mrs. Durbin was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Devlin of Chillicothe, and was married to Charles F. Durbin iii the hospital at Des Moines on the evening of June 6. Mr. Durbln's home is in Creston, but he has been resid ing in Des Moines for some time. The remains arrived in Ottumwa yesterday afternoon and the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at St. Patrick's Catholic church. Rev. James Dunnlon will officiate at the ser vices. Interment will be made in the Calvary cemetery. The Durr Funeral. The last sad rites over the remains of Mrs. Salome Durr who passed away at her homo, 316 North Jefferson street, Thursday evening were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Methodist Episcopal church at Batavia. Rev. J. M. McElroy assisted by Rev. Shook of the Methodist church at Batavia, conducted the services, in terment being made In the Batavia cemetery. The pall bearers were John Brown, S. 0. Publer, Robert Davidson, H. Ojfden and Dr. Baldridge of Batavia and William Armstrong of Ottumwa. A nujnber of friends and relatives ac cmopanied the remains from this city and attended the services. Charlton, July 9.—The Woodman Circle lodge went to Albia Sunday to attend the unveiling of a monument at the grave of Mrs. J. E.-Waugh, un der the auspices of the order here as Mrs. Waugh was a resident of this city and a member of the lodge here. A great many members of the Woodman of the World were also In attendance.
