May his soul rest in peace. The murders that are being com mitted over in Cassia county, and attributed to the cattle men of that section, are attracting the attention of the United States. The manner of these murders would make a Commanohe Indian blush. It's con ceeded that it is not the owners of the cattle that creep up and shoot down these innocent sheep herders, hut it is a certainty that it is the employees or hirelings of the cow men, as they alone could have an interest or ho benefited, should these murders result in driving sheep men from that section, it would he well for the cattle men to understand that the land they are on belongs to the public, and that a sheep man has as good a right to his flocks there as they. Tlie said action is brought to obtain a decree of this Court for the foreclosure of two certain mortgages, described in the complaint and executed by the said Henry X. Smith and Mary Smith on the twelfth day of April, 1894, to secure the payment uf a certain prumisory note to the amount, of Eight hundred and eight dollars with interest thereon from the 12th day of April, 1894, to the 12th day of December 1895 according to the terind of said note. And to secure the payment of a certain promisory note executed and delivered to Mary j. Lewis by Henry T, Smith on I the 12th day of April, 1894, for the amount af Three hundred dollars, with interest thereon at the rate of one and oue-lmlf per cent per month from date till paid, and which was duly assigned, transferred and set over to the said John F. Lambert fur a valuable consideration.
