Manhart and daughter Theda Bara came Saturday from Shoshone, Idaho, to visit with Mrs. Manhart's mother, Mrs. J. Llsh. Misses Burl and Imogene Glasscock of Rockland visited their home at Roy Saturday and Sunday. Carrol K. Lawson, Martin Donnel ly and Harold White left Saturday for Moscow, where they will attend the University this winter. Miss Emogene May of Landing is at- ! tending school at Rockland. Mr. and Mrs. D. Ray Moss returned Saturday from Brigham City where they took their son to attend school. Mr. and Mrs. Moss will return to Brigham City soon to spend the win I ter. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Shaw arrived in Rockland Saturday to visit relatives j and friends indefinately. Mrs. Shaw j was formerly Miss Clara Moss, daugh- \ ter of Mr. and Mra. J. H. Moss. The J bride and groom were marled Friday in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. J. H. Moss is giving a big wedding supper at her home in honor of them Monday evening. Charles Lasley of Soda Springs is visiting at the home of his parents, I Mr. and Mrs. Heber J. Lasley. About forty Relief Society members enjoyed a very nice time at the Relief j Society hall Tuesday afternoon. All ; present felt young again because they ; played games). The ladies brought cakes and a bounteous lot of ice cream was furnished by S. N. Morrià & Co. All appreciated their hospitality. Ice cream was sent out to all who Were unable to be present. The sixth of October the Mutual Society will have their opening social. Games will be played and refreshments served. All over fourteen or Mutual age are invited and a very enjoyable time is expected. All please come pre pared to pay your annual fund. M. L A. REORGANIZED. The Mutual Improvement Associa tion was reorganized Sunday. The fol lowing are the present officers: Nina Moss, president; Ora Walker, first counselor; Mrs. A. L. Al len, chorister; Celia Walker, organist; Olga Walker, Bee Keeper; Myrtle May, Martha Kiilsgaard, Betricc Nelson, journal agent; Ada Nelson, librarian 1 Lizzie Thorn, Iva Jensen, Jennie Frodsham, enlistment committee; Cas sie Jensen, special activities. October 1st will be Sunday Conjoint. A spepial program has been prepared. The Presidency of Young Ladies of Po catello will be present. The Bee Hive Girls of Rockland re port having a very nice time at Po catello. year to attend the Swarm and they were Pocatello's honored guests. The Rockland girls took part in all the Chorus work and assisted on the pro gram. A lunch was prepared for them as soon as they arrived and after the program they were guests Ht a big banquet This was Rockland's first ELIASON DISTRICT ITEMS. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Gill Sweeten spent Sunday with Mr. ad Mrs. D. Hi Hillhouse Lola and Laura Allen are attending school at Rockland. The family will move later. School began Monday in District No. 4. Miss Beda Rosander of American Falls will teach the Eliasen school and Miss Rose Dille will teach the Whistler school. Miss Anna Anderson is attending high school at American Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen, Carl Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Can non and daughters Betty, Mary and Mary Jane of Pocatello, Melvin Walk er and Fenton Nelson were at the Home Ranch Sunday. Most everyone in the neighbor spjnt one day at American Falls during the Fair. The Glorfield threshing outfit is threshing for Hillhouse, Ellis, Woods, Evans and Eliasen, while the Rudeen machine will thresh for the others in the community. Geov Blackmer was an American Falls visitor Saturday. . Mystery In Footprint. They both left for Jerome J. W. May left for Nampa and Boise Wednesday for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Scott and family left Friday for Portland, Oregon, where they will make their future home. They will be missed by their many friends, all wishing them a pleasant Journey wlhile going by land. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Schrimsher were guests of Mr. and Mrs J. E. Hadley Sunday. Mra. J. W. May and daughters val ued at the home of C. R. Beam, Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Rob Canfield and children called on Mr. and Mrs. Wnj. Clauson Sunday. Mrs. J. W. May and daughters Hazel and Doris Dean spent Sunday after noon with Mn. and Mrs. Wm. Clau son. Miss Florence Hadley left Sunday for Weber College at Ogden, Utah. Leroy Hadley went to Ogden, Utah, to attend West Weber High School, J. E. Hadley came home Monday with a carload of peaches and other fruit.
