We were happily surprised on ex

drew the fifty dollar music box given
by W. W. Ixmdcn at the City Drug
Store the Fourth. There is music at
our residence now.
T. C. Henry passed through here
Monday night ou his way to Europe,
he was met at I.a Junta by Hon.
James Swift and E. M. Slater. Mr.
Henry gave these gentlemen to un
derstand that if the rights were sub
scribed be would build the southern
ditch.
The children of I.atuar are ear
nestly requested to attend the Hand
of Hope which will meet at the
Christian church on Sabbath after- j
noon at two o’clock, an earnest effort ’
will be put forth to interest them in
the cause of temperance.
