The said bid was on motion duly made and seconded, declared accepted. Miscellaneous. On motion and second city clerk was instructed to purchase four additional chairs for the council room. Report of police department for year ending February 1 was read and ordered filed. Communication from Illinois Steel Bridge Co. addressed to Mr. Lycan was read, referring to rods for construction of new bridge. Tt was moved and sec onded that the city clerk advise the Il linois Steel Bridge Co. that the inch and quarter rods are to be used according to plans and specifications. Carried. City clerk was directed to advertise for bids for new foundation for the electric pump at pumping station, and for the proper setting and lining up of the said pump. Discussion was had relative to the maintenance of the rest room. The same being referred to the city attor ney, to be taken up again at next reg ular meeting.
