Except for Mr* E. A. Felix Mer
cedes would have drawn a blank in
the prize distribution of tbe Midwin
ter Fair at Brownsville for this year,
but as It turns out, she will have
both a first and a second to her cre
dit as a result of the exhibition.
Mrs. Felix was awarded first and
second prises in competition with
some twenty-five or more in the are
