The meeting was called to order at 3:30 by the president, Mrs. Hawkins, and after the reading of the minute* of last week's meeting by the secretary, proceeded to business. Miss Barbour gave fn al-cotSht of the condition of the children in the e lower grade*. This was discussed for several minutes. Mr*. Noah Allen, ihe chairman of the lunch commit tee, gave the report of that commit tee. to the effect that soup would be 'served to ttfe ehildren needing It. during the noon hour at the rate of one cent for **ach plate of soup. This will begin tigxt week. The member* of the club will furnlsb nearly all the material for the lunches and all ad ditional expense will be paid by con tributions of the memtier* and oth ers. A soliciting committee was then appointed, consisting of Mrs. Allen, chairman; Mrs. Green, !%?rs Snyder, Mrs. R. T Howard. Mrs Walker and Miss Kelly. Mrs. Allen donated three dozen cups and ipdbns and Mrs Skel ton and Mrs. Hawkins promised the means of heating the «n?p.
